A stay in a campsite in the Dordogne, full of charm, created by passionate, dedicated people to provide replenishment in a natural setting in a magnificent region: what more could you dream of for your relaxing holiday?

La Grande Veyière is a 3-star family campsite with 60 sites situated in the south-eastern part of the Dordogne, on the border between the Périgord Pourpre and the Périgord Noir. You will find us tucked away a little off the more beaten tourist track. We are far from mass tourism, steeped in the countryside and surrounded by woods and greenery at the end of a no-through road.

1. A campsite full of charm in the Périgord

Within the Périgord, the Dordogne and Vézère valleys have sheltered mankind since prehistoric times. These inhabitants have continually enhanced the resplendent local natural environment.. After first embellishing legendary caves, centuries later they built castles and villages imbued with the honey-golden hue of the stone.

We, too, have benefited from this nature and heritage, nestling our campsite in the heart of this region; deeply humble and with the desire to change nothing.

In 1981, our good fortune found this one-time agricultural estate that had been abandoned for several years. Its setting, calm and the quality of its buildings particularly pleased us.

The layout of the campsite has been arranged with love and care, creating this 3-star campsite that we so enjoy sharing with our holidaymakers.

3. Unwind and recharge your batteries in a natural setting

Camping La Grande Veyière is situated on the edge of the Bessède Forest, a vast woodland in the Dordogne which is classified ZNIEFF (Area of Ecological Interest, Floristic and Faunistic). Nature is preserved and everywhere to be seen here. We are far from any noise and pollution nuisance. In our campsite, you can “listen to silence”, and we are doing our level best to preserve this natural heritage.

With us you will find the friendly atmosphere of the campsites of yesteryear where meetings, respect, responsibility, mutual aid and solidarity are the key words.
It is not for nothing that our campers like to return from one year to the next!
